'The U Make It Place'
CHESTER - Studio U, "The U Make It Place" in the Streets of Chester shopping center on 206 South, has had its busiest month ever, shares Ash Reifler, owner.
She is excited to open up other locations across the country and has been listening to customers and responding to them to ensure that the model is the best it can be.
When the studio opened in December 2007, patrons were charged a studio-time fee. But after launching a "Free Summer Pass" and having almost 1,000 customers come through the door, Studio U has decided to do away with studio time permanently. You pay for what you make...period.
The projects are of the highest quality, unique and easy and fun to make.
In response to demand, Studio U now has added scrapbooking; an entire section is devoted to helping preserve cherished memories. Memory canvases, photo-montage decorative fans, clipboards and hanging heart scrapbooking pages, to name a few, all are available.
The new scrapbooking "Bookclub" starts Sept. 23, and will be held again on the 25th. Participants are invited to get a scrapbooking kit and an idea book and crop over complimentary beverages and snacks. Sign up also for the new card-making classes. You choose mornings or evenings, whatever works for you.
The "We Make It for You" personalization station is also debuting in September. Choose from porcelain, plastic and wood products, pick a design from the personalization book and the staff will hand-decorate your choice and handwrite the recipient's name for the perfect gift.
Bring in your photos and have a canvas made for you if you are pressed for time and want a unique one-of-a-kind gift, or give your self a present to remember your summer fun with your family or friends.
No appointment is necessary; walk in any time during business hours seven days a week.
